meet my characters . . .

hey, hey!

it's been a good while since I've posted, but with the Tell Me You Love Me anthology coming out on February 14th, I wanted to share some info and a special interview!

first off...

the official release date for the anthology is February 14th, 2023! (Valentines Day! <3) if you are interested, please preorder the ebook, or order it when it comes out--it would mean sooo much to me (and the other authors)! <3333

now for the exciting interview... one of the authors from the anthology interviewed my characters from my short story and you all get to read it. thank you to Lydia J. for taking the time to interview Weston and Saige!

enjoy, friends!

~

Lydia: Hey Saige and Weston! Thank you so much for allowing me to interview you both! How are we all doing today?

Weston: I am doing well!

Saige: I am absolutely fantabulous, thanks for asking *smiles*

Lydia: Good! Let’s dive into the interview! I’ve got 5 questions for each of you, so who would like to start?

Saige: *hand shots up eagerly* I can!

Questions for Saige:

I’ll start with some easy one’s for you, Saige. What’s your favourite colour, and why is it your favourite?

Saige: Hmm, yellow, because it reminds me of sunshine and the summer. And it also makes me think of Weston *smiles*

Why do you like photography?

Saige: I love being able to capture the moment so I can remember it for years to come. I’m often forgetful, so being able to take a picture and remember a special moment in my life is really cool and fun!

Who is your favourite person in the world…besides Weston?

Saige: *laughs a little* Wellll, besides Weston and Jesus, probably my sister, Lydia. She has always been there for me and I wouldn’t be where I am now without her. She always points me to the truth and reminds me to be faithful, even when it’s hard.

What three words would you use to describe Weston?

Saige: Besides perfect in every way? *grins* Weston is genuinely kind and secure. No matter what, he puts others above himself and I know I can come to him with anything I am struggling with.

What gave you hope in all of those years wishing and waiting for Weston to call you his?

Saige: God sustained me in those years of waiting and I always had a feeling that we could be something more. Most of the time, I felt hopeless and a bit lovesick *laughs, a bit embarrassed* so that’s when I had to trust that God would bring us together, if that’s what He had planned for us.

Questions for Weston:

What got you into swimming?

Weston: My dad! He was a swimmer as a kid and when I was young, I did summer wreck teams. Once I was eleven, I joined a club team and never looked back.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Weston: Hm, I think I’d go anywhere as long as I have Saige with me. Though, going to London would be really cool since I’ve studied the history there a lot!

What three words would you use to describe Saige?

Weston: *grins* Easy—authentic, funny, and cute. For as long as I’ve known her, she’s been the same wildly enjoyable girl.

So Weston, I heard that you have a fan club going around, what are your feelings on that?

*glances at Mackenzie wondering if it would be proper to ask this question*

Weston: *chuckles lightly and pulls hand through hair* Hm, that’s news to me. I think Saige should have the fan club though—or else she might get a bit jealous *winks teasingly*

(Mackenzie was unaware he even HAD a fanclub lol)

Do you have a favourite game?

Weston: The card game, Kings Corner. My dad and I played it often during his Chemo appointments. *smiles sadly*

Now, this last question is for both of you.

What do you like best about each other?

Weston: Saige always goes to God first, especially during hard times. That’s something I struggle with, but having someone like her by my side to remind me to go back to God, is good for me. Annnnd I absolutely adore seeing her do anything that makes her smile.

Saige: Like I said earlier, West is the most genuinely kind person to ever exist. (Weston rolls his eyes at this). He’s selfless and I’ll always love watching him swim!
