Hello! It is so good to see you here. I am Mackenzie and I am a writer.

Ever since I was little, I loved reading. I could spend hours and hours devouring books. Years ago, I started writing a story. It was based on me, my friends, and some cousins. It was absolutely terrible, but I  enjoyed writing. And that was what mattered then. Over the years, I have written on and off, working on stories I could never finish. 

In December, 2019, I started a story which I typed on a family computer. And I reached 20,00 words and about 70 pages. This was a turning point for me. I could actually write. And maybe...finish a project for once. I ended up dropping that story because I had an old story I wanted to finish. So... I kept on writing...Then in May 2020, I joined the young writers workshop and everything took off from there. 

I have now finished a novel, which was about 75,000 words and a novella at 40,000 words. I am currently working on a short story and a novel titled, 13 broken memories of skye anderson. (you can learn more about it in the projects section!).

 

Here are some fun facts about me: 

• I am a Christian

• I love muffins, marvel, and make believe 

• I tend to write dystopian with some fantasy sprinkled in there

• I am a diehard fangirl who has wayyyy too many fictional crushes

• My favorite authors are: Kara Swanson, Shannon Messenger, Nadine Brandes, and Marissa Meyers

• I am a Hufflepuff! 

• I play violin, a bit of mandolin, and strum on the guitar when I am bored

• I am always am listening to music; I love k pop!
